Debunking Senior Living Myths

Arrow Senior Living is known for doing things a little differently and challenging the status quo within the industry. It’s just who we are! Even with all the technological conveniences of today such as social media and websites, it is still common to meet individuals with a skewed perception of what senior living looks like. In this blog, I want to share my senior living journey, why I remain committed to the industry, the biggest myth I believe exists, and how to help others overcome the myths surrounding our beautiful Rushwood Senior Living community and services.

I transitioned from the child welfare arena at the suggestion of a friend who recommended I explore social services positions. Since then, my journey has naturally evolved into learning about senior living. I’ve discovered how I can positively impact the lives of older adults. It’s the residents themselves who motivate me to return each day.

The biggest misconception about senior living is the notion that it’s merely a place for individuals to spend their final days. Our aim is to make every day enjoyable, demonstrating to each resident that they have a purpose. We provide opportunities for them to contribute meaningfully to the community.
