Arrow Senior Living employs team members from coast to coast, and Derek Harris, Managing Director of Wellness Integration and Rob Bequette, Managing Director of Sales live in North Redington Beach, Florida. To honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Arrow's Acts of Service initiatives, Derek and Rob chose to celebrate Lisa Hendrickson, Mayor of Redington Shores, Florida. Redington Shores is referred to as Nature's Beach and has some of the most pristine and desirable beachfront in Florida. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in September of 2024, Derek and Rob were walking on the beach, which was devastated by debris from the storm surge and wind. A stranger approached them and provided them with trash bags. She asked that they pick up small debris during their walk and asked that they move any larger debris into piles. Through further conversation, they learned that the person they were speaking with was Mayor Hendrickson. The interaction inspired Derek and Rob to not only help out that day, but to also bring trash bags with them on future walks on the beach so that they could continue to contribute to the immense clean-up efforts.

To celebrate Mayor Hendrickson's Acts of Service for her community, and protection of Nature's Beach, Derek and Rob reached out to Mayor Hendrickson to thank her for being such an inspiration. Due to the town's ethical standards, she could not accept any form of a gift, but she suggested that a donation could be made to the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary down the road in Indian Shores, Florida, so that's just what Derek and Rob did!

Mayor Hendrickson was not available for a photo with Derek and Rob due to illness, but Mike McGlothlin, Town Administrator of Redington Shores was able to meet with them for a quick chat and to take a picture. Thanks for all you have done and continue to do, Mayor Hendrickson and Mike McGlothlin!

In honor of Mom and Pop Small Business Day, Tracy Cecil, Arrow's Regional Director of Operations, is celebrating Cheap Street Thrift Shop!

Here's what she had to say: "I absolutely love shopping at Cheap Street Thrift Shop! This place is a true gem when it comes to both style and sustainability. The store is always filled with high-quality, carefully curated second-hand items that have been repurposed in the most thoughtful way. It's clear that they prioritize finding pieces that are not only fashionable but also durable and timeless. I love knowing that every item I purchase is contributing to reducing waste and supporting the eco-friendly fashion movement. Heather, the owner is always so helpful, and the store's atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Whether you're looking for a unique vintage find or simply want to refresh your wardrobe sustainable, Cheap Street is the place to go. Highly recommend!" #shoplocal #smallbusinessday #supportsmallbusiness
